VI. Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in
Read the title of this unit and give them a brief introduction of “there be” structure. Then I Play a video which is about the introduction of Wuqing, their hometown. It has a lot of wonderful sights that deserves everyone’s pride. Before I play the video, I tell them that I want them to tell me what they can see in the video. They are supposed to use “There is/are …in Wuqing. There isn’t…in the video.” (Present and lead in “there be”structure and make them have a basic knowledge of it) Then I show a map of Wuqing and tell them there is a classroom in Wuqing, they are going to describe it. But before describing the pictures , they should review some words and numbers first.
T: There is a classroom in Wuqing. Let’s describe the three pictures about this classroom. Before doing it, Let’s review the new words and numbers first.

This video helps students know a lot English expressions of places of interest in their hometown, which can highly prove their vocabulary.
Step 2 Consolidate new words and expressions
The teachers shows the pictures of the new words and expressions of this lesson, students are supposed to say them in English.
