Watch a video about Northeast Normal University. In the video, if students can find the new words, speak out.
Use the mind map to recall the new words. Learn to remember the words by using mind map and categories.

1) Betty’s classroom
A. Write the names on the students’ desks. Understand the meanings of the prepositons of place.
B. Guessing game. Guess the names of the students by using prepositions of place to describe their positions in the classroom.
Aim: To learn to use prepositions of place to describe the places.

Look at the map of Betty’s school. Listen and tell whether the sentence is true or false.
Read the passage and label the map of the school.
Use three ways to tell where is the library.
a. Look at the three sentences and decide whether they have the same meaning.
b. Find sentences look like the three example sentences.
c. Work in pairs. Ask and answer “Where is the...?” “ It’s...”. Use three ways to answer the question.
d. Choose three places. Write three sentences and use three ways to describe the positions.
e. Work in groups and check the writing.
D. Compare two sentences to know adding details to your writing can make your passage better.
E. Compare two passages to know that using pronouns can help your sentence lose weight.
F. Read the passage again. Pay attention to the details and the pronouns.

Learn the history of our school. Wang Jinxi started the school in 1961. We started from nothing but now we have everything.
Watch the video and see what we have now. To feel the happiness of our school life today.
Look at a photo of Yifulou. Talk about charities. Ask students what building our school still needs. Tell them to write the building on the paper and put up them on the blackboard.
Work in groups. Show your new school with the help of the map on the blackboard. Talk about the following questions.
