Teaching procedure
Step 1 warm-up
(divide the students into two groups, the boys and the girls, to have a match during the whole class)
Show a funny picture of a happy man face which is made of many kind of food. Let the students look careful and say out what they can see in the picture.
Step 2: Revision
Review the words about food and drink that they learnt in Unit1 by playing a game: Brainstorrn. The teacher show the pictures about food and drink very quickly, the ask students to look carefully and say out the words as quickly as they.
Step 3: Learning new words.
Ask a student to read the new words and then to be the small teacher to teach his classmates to learn the words.
Label the picture with the words .
Match the works with the Verbs “ eat ” and “drink”
Step4 Before reading : Lead-in
Do a survey: What’s your favourite food and drink? Is it healthy?
Introduce Jack to the students. And show the food he likes and the food he dislikes. Lead the students to find out Jack like unhealthy food, so he is very unhealthy, he is too fat so that he is easy to tire, and he has poor eyesight and bad teeth.
