Warming-up (3’)Lead in

( showing some pictures ): Computer is very useful for us ! I can do a lot of things on it . For example, I do shopping online, so I don’t need to go out for shopping……

2. Work in pairs

Ask students to discuss : What do you do on the computer?

Use the sentence patterns: A: What do you do on the computer?

B: I …… on the computer.

Then, ask some students for talking.

1.listen to the teacher and look at the screen.

2. discuss and use the sentence patterns with their partners此环节教师通过图片直观简述自己使用计算机的情况。

引导学生用一般现在时的特殊疑问句进行讨论并表述计算机的用途,即能活跃课堂气氛,加深对知识的印象,并在无形中培养学生大胆说英语的习惯。

Step Two

Pre-reading(5’)1.Show the students pictures about using the computer and phrases.

2.Ask students to guess the meaning of phrases with the help of the pictures. Then use the phrases to describe them.

3. teach the phrases and ask students to follow. 1.Guess the meaning of phrases with the help of the pictures.

2.Read follow the teacher引导学生利用图片描述及学习新词与短语,为学生扫清阅读障碍。Step Three

Fast reading (3’)1.Play the tape and have them listen and read follow .

2. Ask students to skim the passages match the questions with the people who answer them in Activity 1

T: Jack, Alice and like using the computer. Find out “Who can use the computer on Sundays?” “Who often share the computer with his father?” “Who has a friend in Australia?”

3.Ask three students to Check the answers. Make sure let them to find out from the passages.

1.Listen and read follow the tape.

2. Match the questions with the people who answer them in Activity 1利用听读的方式, 学生通过快速阅读, 培养学生获取主旨信息的能力。

Read the passage carefully & answer the questions.
