Leading-in
After greeting, the teacher tells the students the main tasks of this lesson.
Reviewing how to ask for directions.
The teacher asks the students to talk about the sentences of asking for directions.
Students read the sentences on the screen out loud.
Reviewing how to give directions.
① Students say some expressions of giving directions according to the movements that shown on the screen.
② Students read the expressions together.
Reviewing some words of places.
The teacher shows some pictures and then students say the exact word of the picture.
Doing exercise.
① Look at the map and complete the passage with the words and expressions from the box. ( activity 3, page 37) Teacher asks one student to show his/her answers on the screen.
②Playing a game.
Students work in groups. Each group chooses a card. And then listen to the orders of the teacher. Finally, students place the card in the right place according to the orders of the teacher.
Orders:
The square is in the middle.
A restaurant is on the left of the square.
A church is on the right of the square.
A park is next to the church.
A market is opposite the church.
On the left of the market, there is a school and a museum.
A cinema is on the left of the museum.
A restaurant is opposite the cinema.
The restaurant is between the cinema and a station.
On the right of the station, there is a hospital and a bank.
③ Read and label the places. ( activity 2, page 36) Teacher asks one student to show his/her answers on the screen.
