Step1. Lead-in (3mins)
Warm-up: Greeting
Enjoy the time (T told Ss part of a story without giving the name of the story, and Ss should guess the name of the story.)
Guess: What happened next?
Step2 Pre-reading (9mins)
1) Read and number (IW)
T gives five pictures and asks Ss to number the pictures in the correct order.
2) Read and make sentences (WCW)
T shows some pictures about some key words and phrases, and Ss can make simple sentences by reading the key words and phrases.
3) Show the same pictures and teach them. (try-tried, tired, in pieces, return-returned, cry-cried, asleep, shouted, hurry-hurried, without)
Step3 While-reading (16mins)
1. Read and answer 10mins (IW)
1) Ss read the paragraph 1 as quickly as they can and try to answer the following questions.
1) Why did the girl want to sit down?
2) Did Goldilocks like the two big chairs? Why?
3) Why was the chair in pieces?
Give Ss three questions with PPT.
2) Ss read the paragraph 2 as quickly as they can and try to answer the question and find out where it is.
Q: Which bed did Goldilocks like best? Why?
3) Ss read the paragraph 3, 4, 5 as quickly as they can and try to find out the answers and pay attention to the key words and phrases. (IW, WCW)
