Step 1 Leading in
Help students to revise what is learnt in Period one of this module.
Show them some pictures about the new words in last period. Have the Ss. spell them chorally and individually.
Revise past simple regular verbs.
Can you say what happened next?
Step 2 Pre-reading
Task : Describe the four pictures.
Teacher shows the five pictures in Activity 2 on page 50 through PPT one by one.
Teacher describes the first picture as an example.
Students work in pairs of two to describe the other four pictures.
Encourage some pairs to show in front of the blackboard.
Step 3 While-reading
Fast-reading: Match the sentences in Activity 3 with the pictures in Activity 2.
Tip: Let students do it alone and then check the answers with the partners.
