Step 1:Warming-up and leading-in
Retell the story about Goldilocks in unit 1.
Step 2:Pre-reading
1.Work in pairs. Say what happened next in Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
—I think Goldilocks decided to go home.
—Maybe she stayed in the house.
2.Ask the students to share their opinions.
3.Teach them the new words in the passage.
Step 3:Reading
1.Ask the students to read the passage in Activity 2 by themselves silently.
2.Play the tape and have them listen to the tape carefully.
3.Play the tape again.Let the students listen and repeat, pay attention to the stress and pause.
4.Ask the students to read the passage, work in pairs and find out the difficulties in the passage and ask the teacher for help.
5.Explain the difficulties to the students.
6.Ask the students to read the passage aloud.
7.Have them number the pictures in the correct order.

Step 4:Practicing
1.Let the students read the passage again.
