Step 1 Lead in
1. Greet the students.
2. T: Today we will learn Module8 Story time Unit3, so in this lesson, I will show some stories with you. (Show students pictures with PPT. These pictures are Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Snow White and Jingwei Decided to Fill up the Sea.)In unit one and unit two, we have learnt Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and in this lesson we will learn Snow White and Jingwei Decided to Fill up the Sea.
Step 2 Listening
1. First, let’s listen to a story, and fill in the blanks.
2. Check answers with students.

Step 3 Language practice
T: How does a story begin with?
Ss: Once upon a time.
T: That means long long ago, so when we see “once upon a time” or “long long ago”, we use simple past tense. Can you tell me when do we use simple past tense? Can you tell me other expressions like “once upon a time” or “long long ago”?
Elicit students to say more expressions about the time adverbial of simple past tense, and then the teacher writes their answers on the blackboard.
