教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in
1.Show some pictures of Shakespeare`s works (Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Merchant of Venice King Lear) .
2. Tell the students that the works shown are the tragedies of Shakespeare`s.
3.Learn more about Shakespeare.
Step 2 Read
1. Ask if anyone knows who Shakespeare was. Tell students that Shakespeare became famous more than 400 years ago. Elicit anything they know about Shakespeare for prediction and put it on the board. (e.g. When was he born? When did he become famous?)
2. Ask students to read the passage quickly to check their ideas.
3. Tell students to read again and underline what Shakespeare wrote.
4. Elicit answers from the whole class.
Step 3 Read and complete
1. Ask students to read the sentences and discuss the order of events in pairs . Make sure they understand the meaning of the sentences.
2. Elicit answers from the class. Check them against their predictions on the board.
3. Have the students read the timeline in the box, then tell students to read the passage again and find the answers individually. Remind them that they may need to use the correct form of the verbs.
4. Draw the timeline on the board. Ask three students to come up to write the events along it.
5. Elicit full sentences about William Shakespeare`s life from the class.
6. Make students read the words in the box first ,then have them work individually to complete the passage with the words in the box. They may have to change the form of the words where needed.
7. Nominate some students to read the full sentences aloud.
Step 4 Writing
Read the example sentences with the class. Check what they know about Wang Dong.
Invite students to look through a short passage as an example.
3.Elicit what they can remember about their childhood at different ages. Prompt with “happy memory”, “exciting’, ‘favorite food ﹨ music﹨ sport” etc.
4. Tell students to use their imagination if they cannot remember.
