3 communicative approach 教学设计思路 The period is designed for students in Junior 1. Having learned English for so many years, the Ss have known something about how to describe what the people are doing. They show great interests in this topic as well.

This unit is a dialogue about what is happening on the school trip. It plays a very important role in this module. So it’s necessary for Ss to learn some words and expressions about the school trip and try to understand the present continuous tense in the context. For students, the aim is to get detail information about the school trip through listening and talk about what is happening on the school trip with the help of the key words. It’s helpful to raise their interests of different cultures and customs. In this unit, it’s helpful to help the Ss use the target language to talk about what the people are doing.

教学过程设计意图时间安排Step 1 Warming-up

1. play an English song “Are You Sleeping ?”

2 play a chant

Chant

Photos photos

He is taking photos .

Postcards postcards

She is buying postcards

School trip school trip

We’re enjoying the school trip .

3 Look and say

By talking about the photos,lead them to read take --- taking,They are taking photos.Present the following phases buy postcards , call , lie in the sun, shop , stand in line, wait for the bus, walk and on the Great Wall in the same way.

2. Match the words with the pictures.

3. Read the words after the teacher.

4. Introduce the new words.

5. Read the new words after the teacher.

Step 2 Listening practice.

1. Look at the pictures in Activity 1.

2. Play the recording through once while they just listen.

3. Ask the students to listen to the recording.

4. Play the recording again, then they can number the pictures.

5. Call back the answer from the whole class and check the answer.

Step 3 Work in pairs.

1. Read through the words and expressions and have the students repeat them. Make sure they understand them.
