Step1:warming_up
T: You know the Dragon Boat Festival is coming . What are you going to do on holiday?
Let three students answer my question
T:Do you want to know what Betty’s did on holiday? Let’s learn about by reading her email.
Ask one student to read the teaching aims for class.
设计意图:此环节为热身环节,通过日常生活的对话导入新课的学习。
Step2:revision
Play a word game to review the key words and ask some students to fill in the blanks to consulate the key words.
设计意图:通过游戏再次复习所学单词并加以巩固联系。
Step3: listening and fast reading
Play the recording to the students and let them choose the best answer
Ask the students to read the email quickly and put the six pictures in the correct order.
设计意图:练习一下听力同时熟悉一下邮件的内容,然后继续锻炼学生的快速阅读的能力,学会查找关键词。
Step4 Careful reading
The teacher puts the email into three parts ,and let the students read the each part carefully and finish the exercises .then they can check their answers with their partners.

设计意图:通过分层阅读,逐段了解邮件内容,判断句子的练习可以提高学生阅读细节的能力。填表培养归纳的能力。
Step5:work in pairs
Have the students to find out the key expressions in groups
Put the students into six groups , each group has a task with completing the email.
They can write the email with their partners and share their email as the whole class.
设计意图:通过小组寻找邮件中出现的重点短语,加强对基础知识的学习和巩固;同时也为学生下一步的写作练习提供相应的短语,进一步训练学生运用所学词汇与语法,完整正确的表达一件事情。
Step6: summing and homework
