教学过程:
Step1 warm up and lead in
1.The teacher greets in words and play a short piece of video about Charlie Chaplin and show that
he doesn’t say anything in the film ,bue he uses his body language to make others laugh. So we
can use our body language to communicate with others.
2.Play a game.
2.1The teacher speaks out the words and the students do the actions.
2.2 Tell students that you’re going to greet them in Chinese body language and you want them to response using body language.The teachers can smile,shake hands,wave and nod the head with some students in the class.
Step3:Match the pictures with the words and expressions from the box.
1.Ask students to find the words and expressions in the box to describe the pictures.
2.Tell students to check their answers in pairs.
Step4.Listen and match th pictures with the nationality.
1.Go through the nationalities and ask where are they from.
2.Ask students to describe the pictures with their own words and guess their nationalities.
3.Play the recording and decide which picture is being described.
4.Call back answers from the class and ask students why.
Step5 Listen and read.
Show students a world map and ask them to find out where these places are:Russia, India,the US and new zealand.
Ask in which countries do they often shake hands, smile, bow …
Listen to the dialogue and check the countries are mentioned in it.
Listen again and complete the table with the correct form of the words in the box.
Step6 Practise more
1.Work in pairs, ask, say and do the body language of different countries.
2.Share with the whole class.
Step7 Sing a song.
Sing the song to have a simple conlusion of the body language in different countries.
