3-1. Skim the article and tell answer 2 general questions.
3-2. Read the text in details and finish the blank-filling exercise in a sheet, then check the answers.
4. Talk in group:
Which invention of the three is the greatest?How does it help people?What will happen if there is no wheel/telephone/light bulb?

2-1. Show some pictures about things we used in the past, guide students to talk about the things we are using now.
2-2.Guide students to think of the importance of these inventions.
3. Introduce a reading strategy, skimming and lead the students to skim for general idea.
Hand out the sheet, guide the students to find the information of part 1, check the answers.
Then let them do part 2 and 3 by themselves.
Then check the answers with students.
4. Divide the students into groups, 4 students in a group;
assign task;
walk around and supervise;
help the students if needed;
invite some group leaders to give reasons, other groups guess which invention it is.
2. Stimulate the knowledge that students already have;
solve the vocabulary problem so that students will not have too much difficulty in reading later.
3. To let them master the skill of skimming, and train their ability of reading for details.
4. Train the students speaking ability and cooperation ability based on the reading material.
