二、学情分析

1.Students analysis(学生分析)

The students are in Grade Seven. They have learned English for about four years. Most of them can express their thoughts in English simply. Students are interested in this topic about music, but it is a little difficult for them to focus on the story in the material. Maybe they will not able to express themselves correctly, so I’d better focus on the rules in this writing task.

2.Materials analysis(素材分析)

This is one of the reading and writing projects of Revision Module B. The topics are about life history,story time, music and rules. The teaching activities include information card,main points practising,rule judgments, poster, and so on. And the grammar is mainly about simple past tense and imperative sentences.The materials are consistent with the existing level of students, vocabulary and content presented is reasonable.

三、Language focus and difficult points(重点难点)

1.To talk about someone’s story in simple past tense.

2.To get information from materials and make a poster in groups.

3.To write a good article in process of writing.

四、English core literacy (本课核心素养)

1.通过阅读人物故事提高对英语学习的兴趣,在探究、合作、分享中培养学生的语言能力和文化品格。

2.整合素材,基于话题设计以读促写递进式的教学活动,使学生在情境中完成从语言输入到语言输出的学习任务,以此培养学生的思维品质,提升学习能力。

五、Teaching Procedures(教学过程)

StepⅠ Leading in

Warming up. Lead the Ss to remind the music styles we learned last week. And show what we will learn about the topic of the highest concert.

StepⅡ Vocabulary

New words learning.

Show pictures of each new word and expression, try to lead Ss to catch the meanings of the vocabulary by using sentences in situations.

Sum up the vocabulary.

Complete the sentences with the proper words and phrases we learned. Show the main ideas of the reading material we will go on with below.

StepⅢ Listening and reading

Skimming.

Read the passage quickly and try to complete the blanks with past tense.

Listening.

Listen to the tape and check the words. Sum up the rules of past tense,regular or irregular verbs.

Games for different choices of music styles.

Pop music for scanning.
