Step 1 Warm-up
1. Lead in the topic directly.
2. Make the content clear.
Step 2 Forming the language systems about the topic
1. Brainstorm what we have learned in unit 1 and unit 2. They will not only think of the words in this module but also use the vocabulary learned before. This builds a scaffolding for later oral and written activities.
2. Know more about their favorite writers and plays. While focusing on the words about infinitives with the help of pictures, I will ask students to think of Lu Xun.
3. Try to introduce Lu Xun with the infinitives and double-object structure.
Step 3 Simulation training
Practice 1
1.Ask the students to read the words in the box.
2.Complete the sentences on their own.
3.Remind them to use the infinitive from that has been explained in the grammar box.
4.Elicit and check the answers.
Practice 2
1.Tell the students to read through the conversation first. Then ask a few questions and elicit answers from the students.
T:1) What does Betty want to do?
2) What does Lingling offer to do?
3) What does Daming suggest?
2.Ask them to read the note all the way through so that they can work out which word in the box fits each gap.
