2.句子:(1)The WWF is working hard to save them all.

(3) The WWF chose the panda to be its symbol.

难点:能够谈论动物的生存现状;

能够模仿课文的写作形式,写一篇介绍某一濒危动物现状的短文。

教学准备:

课堂整体运用任务型教学模式, 培养学生独立自主的学习能力。 本课指导学生通过听说获取信息, 培养学生的听说技能。在教学过程中,采用多媒体手段辅助教学,利用各种图片和习题任务贯穿 整个教学过程。因此,本节课需准备:PPT 课件、图表。

教学过程:

1.课前检测(小组活动research, baby, scientist, produce, southwest, in order to , government, set up, nature, feed, symbol)

2. Lead in (导入)

Free talk: What ’s this? I’d like you to say something about pandas. Can you tell us? Have students talk about their favourite animals.

(学生活动设计意利用图片,引导学生进入本模块的主题。引起学生的注意和深思。引导学生谈论图片,训练学生描述事情的能力.在描述的同时学习新单词和句型,做到词不离句,为学生扫清读的障碍。)

3.Scanning(快速阅读)

(1)Ask students to scan the passage. T: Make the students read the passage and match the headings with the paragraphs.(2) Skimming Ask students to skim the passage and complete the table.

(设计意图:本活动要求学生快速把握课文信息,以找出答案为目的,快速跳读,找出关键句练习快速阅读的能力。)
