难点：能够谈论动物的生存现状；

能够模仿课文的写作形式，写一篇介绍某一濒危动物现状的短文。

教学准备：

课堂整体运用任务型教学模式， 培养学生独立自主的学习能力。 本课指导学生通过听说获取信息， 培养学生的听说技能。在教学过程中，采用多媒体手段辅助教学，利用各种图片和习题任务贯穿 整个教学过程。因此，本节课需准备：PPT 课件、图表。

教学过程：

1.课前检测（小组活动research, baby, scientist, produce, southwest, in order to , government, set up, nature, feed, symbol）

2. Lead in (导入)

Free talk: What ’s this? I’d like you to say something about pandas. Can you tell us? Have students talk about their favourite animals.

（学生活动设计意利用图片，引导学生进入本模块的主题。引起学生的注意和深思。引导学生谈论图片,训练学生描述事情的能力.在描述的同时学习新单词和句型，做到词不离句，为学生扫清读的障碍。）

3.Scanning（快速阅读）

(1)Ask students to scan the passage. T: Make the students read the passage and match the headings with the paragraphs.（2） Skimming Ask students to skim the passage and complete the table.

（设计意图：本活动要求学生快速把握课文信息，以找出答案为目的，快速跳读，找出关键句练习快速阅读的能力。）
