Step I. Leading-in
The teacher introduces herself. Tell students she likes traveling. Then let students watch a short video about her traveling. After the video, the teacher says:“I love traveling, and I have been to many places to travel. But I have never been to a foreign country so far. Luckily, my friend Wang Hui went to England last year. Then show students some pictures and a short video about Wang Hui in England. The teacher says: Do you want to know anything about England? OK, let’s follow her. Divide the students into four groups. They are group Living, group Interesting, group Following and group Enjoying.
Step II. Before-reading: Guessing
Ask students to look at the title and two pictures. Guess what they are doing in the pictures.
Step III. While-reading
Task 1: Skimming
Read the article quickly to find which the sentences in the article describe the two pictures. At the same time, find the main idea of the passage.
