Students are supposed to conclude what gift is proper for the English family. Remind them some flowers have different meanings, for example, roses. Students are required to compare the different ways of accepting gifts between England and China.
This step aims to activate students’ vocabulary of gifts and ask them to write down on the blackboard to check the spelling. Then students give advice and reason.
