(1)Four skills the new words and expressions:
glasses, jeans, nervous, fair, pretty, proud, be proud of, stranger, message, sb. can’t wait, hobby, at school, in, mark, love.
(2)To get and understand the information of expressing feelings and impressions by reading. They can describe their own or others’ looking and feelings by using S+V+P structure, especially the different Link verbs. Even retell the text and try to use it.
(3) Learn to co-operative with partners and learn how to get on well with others and
to be friendly and helpful.

Part Seven:Teaching steps: ( 4P-in-one)
(That is preparation, presentation, practice and production)
Step one: preparation
Show some pictures of film stars and ask the Ss to describe him or her by using the adjectives in order to arouse their interest. At the same time to brain--storm the words about appearance and personality.
Step two: presentation
Firstly, help the Ss to learn the new words and phrases , then have a test for them during the oral practice.
Pre-reading:
I’ll lead the Ss to guess what hobbies Sally has. such as music; sports and so on. I’ll draw a mind-map to help them. Then have a listening to get the information and find which picture is about Sally.
While-reading:
Ask the Ss to skim the text and match the key sentences with each paragraph.
a) What does Sally like doing?
b) What does Sally feel about coming to China?
c) What does Sally look like?
(2) Read the first and second paragraph to answer the following questions:
A. How was Sally when she heard from Lingling?
B. What does Sally look like?
(3) Ask the students to read the third and fourth paragraph, to get the details of the passage and then answer the following questions.
She feels when she gets bad marks at school. (sad)
She feels at first when she leaves her mum and dad. (a bit sad)
3) She feels when she is with strangers.( quite shy)
4) She feels when she speaks Chinese. (nervous)
5) She feels when she does not know how to do things in the right way. (sorry)
