“Do you know how many planets in the solar system?”, which is from Armstrong’s diary. Try to learn the new words of “the solar system,planet,star” in a real situation. And then have a brief introduction of eight planets, most of whose names are from Greek or Roman mythology.
Encourage students to learn the new words, such as “spaceship, the earth, the moon, spaceship, astronaut, latest news, Mars”, through his diary.
Pay attention to the adverbial word, like “already, yet, just”. They are used in the present perfect tense.

Listen and number the words and try to finish Activity1.
Listen more carefully and complete the notes. Have a short introduction of Mars.

e. Try to retell the dialogue according to the mind-map about spaceship and Mars.
Step4 After-listening
Enjoy a video about astronauts’ life on the spaceship and try to note down what they have done on the spaceship.
By showing the pictures of life on the spaceship and try to check the sentences they have made by using”already, yet, just”
Imagine students are going to take part in the international space meeting. Three of them play as astronauts from America, Russia, or China. One play as a reporter to interview them. Encourage students to use present perfect tense and adverbial words like”just, already, yet” to make a dialogue and then have a representation.
Encourage students to be brave and curious to explore the secret of the universe.
