Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Revision and lead-in
Let Ss look at the pictures and answer the questions to review what they have learnt.
Step 2 Language practice
Let Ss work in pairs and talk about the topic”What is your hobby?”
Step 3 Play a game
Let Ss guess “What hobbies they are?”
Show some pictures on the screen and let Ss guess what hobby it is .
Step 4 Work in pairs.
Choose the picture and make a dialogue about the hobby.
Let Ss show their dialogue to other classmates.
Step5 Homework
Plan your survey on hobbies in groups.
Decide the questions you want to ask.
Think about what kind of information might be interesting — if people in the same family have the same hobbies, which hobbies young people usually do not like, which hobbies your classmates all like, etc.
Look up new words.
Write your survey.
Make sure that the sentences are clear and easy to understand.
Ask your teacher or your classmates to check the survey when you have finished.
Do the survey with other students.
Ask your questions and make notes on the answers.
Present the results of your survey to the rest of the class.
