学情分析
Before learning Unit 2 ,the students have already learned the words in Module 7 and they have already known something about Los Angeles. Most of them can understand some simple oral directions and they have known some reading skills such as skimming and scanning.But students in this class are not very active, and they are not good at expressing their ideas.Most students can write a short passage with the basic information, but some students still lack the writing skills and they need to try their best to write more sentences with the help of the teacher.

By the end of the class,
1.90% of the students should be able to understand the main idea of the passage and each paragraph by finishing Activity 2 and 3 correctly.
2.85% of the students should be able to get specific information from the passage about an English course by finishing Activity 4 and completing the notes on the handout.
3.80% of the students should be able to write about a Chinese course with the information they thought by themselves or with the help of the teacher.

Memorizing the new words in Unit 2, including the pronunciation, meaning and the spelling.
Knowing the basic information about Los Angeles and summer camp for English learning.
教学策略
In this class, the teacher will use bottom-up method as well as TBLT method to organize the class. While teaching, the teacher will also ask the students to learn by themselves and to brainstorm.
