at the end of...意为“ ”，其后接名词或名词性的短语，既可以指在时间的末尾，也可以指在某个地点的尽头。

与end有关的短语： by the end of...意为“ ”，常与完成时连用。
We had learned two thousand English words by the end of last term. 到上个学期为止我们已经学了 2000个英语单词。
