Teaching procedure :
Step 1 Leading in 6 m
Play a game, two students of each group say numbers , review knowledge.
Teacher checks the answers with students together
Purpose: Teacher uses a game to arouse students` interests, After playing the game, lead in the topic my invention.
Step 2 Work in pairs 6m
Students ask and answer each other the questions below in the group:
Do you often use them?
Which is the most useful invention to you and your family?
Why do you think so?
What do you or your family use it for?
How often do you use it?
Can you do without it?
Purpose: The same topics appear again, Guide students to their own invention. Interviewing others can improve oral ability. Invention is a new word in this lesson. It appears again Students can remember it better. From others’ to students` own invention, Students have been able to finish today`s task easily .after this step.
Step 3 Show ,correct and comment 15 m
Introduce some funny inventions to students. The teacher shows some compositions and comments on them, let students write down good parts. Correct some mistakes together. Remind students about what they should pay attention to while writing.
Purpose: In this step, Teacher directs students how to write, let students find out and correct others`mistakes and realize they may make the same mistakes. They will improve their writing.
Step 4 Make a summary 3 m
Let students summary about what they should pay attention to while writing. Teacher shows the demands again in PPT
Purpose: When students talk about the things they should pay attention to while writing, they will finish writing better in the future.
