Step1. Greating and lead- in
1.Good morning
2.What day is it today?
3.What’s the day?
4.What’s the weather like?
5.What’s the temperature?
Said: The weathe is so nice. Do you want to go sightseeing? Now, let’s visit Beihai Park to unit1,module8.
(Write on the whiteboard):
Unit1 I can hardly believe we’re in the city certre.
Step2.Warm-up
1.Show some pictures(Enjoy the pictures)about the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Beihai Park, and ask one by one:
What is this?
When the student answer Beihai Park. Ask them:
Do you know something about Beihai Park?
2.Show the map of Beihai Park, point at it and say:
Here is Beihai Park. It is in the centre of Beijing city. It about 480 square kilometers. It is one of the Royal Gardens .
3.Show the instructions of Beihai Park for students, and have them read .
4. Look at the pictures and describe them. Say:
(1).北海公园与喧嚣的大城市相比，显得格外宁静。甚至连鸟儿唱歌都能听见。
(2).这些古老的建筑是雄伟的。
Have students describe it in English.
Step3. Look at the photo and listen. What is the conversation about?
Play the tape for the students. Then check.
Step4. Listen again and choose the correct answer.
Step5.Listen and read.
Show some pictures about new words .Have students look and say.
