Step 1 Leading in
1. Show the learning aims.
2. Play a video about news and let students try to get the main idea.
3. Ask and answer by using the object clause:
Can you tell me where you can get news.
Could you tell me if you have ever
listened to the radio?
Tell me some kinds of radio programs.
Students answer and then teachers
complete.
Step 2 Pre-listening
1. Review the object clause and learn the new words.
1). Learn the new words by sentence drills.
eg. Tell me which you like better,
national news or international news?
2). Show the pictures and make the sentences according to the examples.
eg. We know that a radio program needs a director and a presenter .
2. Review the new words.
Show up the Chinese meaning and let students stand up and speak out loudly in English.
Step 3 While-listening
Play the recording of activity 1 and ask students to choose the correct answers.
Play the recording of activity 3 and do true or false.
Ask students to read the dialogue by following the video.
Ask students to fill in the blanks after reading and check the answers.
Step 4 Post-listening
Work in groups of four, and make talk shows by using the topics given.
Step 5 Summary
Summarize the lesson.
