语法方面,学生已经接触了since,while,after,before,until,when等作为介词的使用;在初二上的第八模块学习过去进行时时,接触了when和while引导的时间状语从句。

技能方面,学生基本能够针对某一节假日做简单的介绍,包括时间,庆祝活动等。

词汇和句型方面,对节假日的表达相关词汇欠缺;对when, while, until, before 和after引导时间状语从句的理解和正确使用方面存在一定困难;对某一个节假日进行更高层面的(如节假日的意义)有逻辑、有条理的文段介绍需进一步指导。

四、教学目标

After the lesson,

1. 知识与技能:

① Ss will be able to get some facts about Thanks giving day and learn more about the holiday by detailed reading

②Ss will find out the structure of introducing a holiday

③Ss will try to talk about their familiar public holidays and festivals following the structure with the help of the information on the preview learning paper

2. 过程与方法:

① Ss will make use of the internet to search for facts about some public holidays and traditional festivals home and abroad.

② Ss will work in groups to retell the passage according to the key words.

③ Ss will follow the structure of the text to introduce their favorite holiday using the facts they have collected on the internet.

3. 情感态度与价值观:

Ss will be arisen the awareness of expressing thanks to people who help and love them and the proud feeling of Chinese culture.
