语法方面，学生已经接触了since，while，after，before，until，when等作为介词的使用；在初二上的第八模块学习过去进行时时，接触了when和while引导的时间状语从句。
技能方面，学生基本能够针对某一节假日做简单的介绍，包括时间，庆祝活动等。
词汇和句型方面，对节假日的表达相关词汇欠缺；对when, while, until, before 和after引导时间状语从句的理解和正确使用方面存在一定困难；对某一个节假日进行更高层面的（如节假日的意义）有逻辑、有条理的文段介绍需进一步指导。

After the lesson,
1. 知识与技能：
① Ss will be able to get some facts about Thanks giving day and learn more about the holiday by detailed reading
②Ss will find out the structure of introducing a holiday
③Ss will try to talk about their familiar public holidays and festivals following the structure with the help of the information on the preview learning paper
