The topic of this module is about problem, the students will be interested in it and it will be easy for us to talk about this topic. And the students in Grade 9 have the ability to guess the new word from the context.

Step 1: Lead in
Talk about some problems in their daily life
Too much homework, can’t sleep very well and feel under great pressure then lead in the topic of this module : problem.
Step 2. Watch and see
Ask students to watch a short interview from our school radio station
Do you have any problems in your daily life?
I have some problems with...
If I have problems, I will ask …for help.
Step 3. Pair work: Interview
Ask students to work in pairs and interview their partners and practise the sentence structure.
A:Do you have any problems in your daily life?
B:I have some problems with...
A:What will you do if you have some problem ?
B;If I have problems, I will ask …for help.
And then attract students’ attention to get to know what Steve’s problem is.
Step 4: Fast- reading
Ask students to read the first letter as quickly as possible
And choose the best summary of Steve’s problem
Step 5: Group work: retell and report
Ask students to work in groups to retell Steve’s problem according to the important phrases i gave to them
