2.T- I am a member of the school basketball team, but Daming wasn’t chosen for the team last time.
Step2. Words and review.
Step 3.Work in pairs. Talk about favorite sports stars .The students can make a dialogue like this one:
A:Who are your favorite sports stars?
B:My favorite sports stars are …
A:Why do you like them?
B:Because they never give up their dreams/are always talented/brave…
Step4 Listening and reading
Let Ss listen to the tape then choose the correct answer.
Listen again ,then complete the sentences(P64 Activity 2)
Check the answer.
4. Let Ss watch the video and repeat the dialogue after it. Let Ss pay attention to the words’ pronunciation and intonation.
5. Role-play. Ask Ss to act out the dialogue .
6.Work in pairs. Show a picture of the class basketball team, let Ss talk about their favorite basketball player in the class team. They can make a dialogue like this one:
A:Who is your favorite basketball player in our class team?
B:My favorite basketball player is….
A:When was he chosen for the team?
B:He was chosen …ago.
