二、教学目标
1. 学生能够正确认读使用本节课的重点单词短语:compared with, winner, even though, rush, blouse, skirt等。
2. 学生能借助小组讨论,多媒体交互活动等练习以下阅读策略:推测,记笔记和多样化表达等。
3. 能够使用that, who, which引导的定语从句介绍自己喜欢的图片。
三、学习者分析
经过前几个模块的学习,学生对定语从句的用法有了大致的了解,但是还不能在语言交流中灵活地运用,本单元通过对照片获奖理由的阐述,让学生学以致用,提高语言的运用能力。
四、教学重难点分析及解决措施
重难点:
1. 帮助学生练习推测、多样化表达等阅读和写作策略。
2.运用定语从句描述自己喜欢的图片。
解决措施:
在读前活动中,通过展示图片,创造大量的机会让学生操劳模块目标语言。
通过读后对比感悟,并播放How to use vivid language 视频帮助学生认识多样化表达的重要性。
五、教学设计
Step I Warming up
Ask: What are the subjects that they’ve chosen for this year’s competition? (nature, home and away, music, city and people)
Ask: Do you want to know who will won the prize? Let’s study Unit 2.
[回顾上一节课的内容,自然过渡到本节课的内容。也激发了学生对比赛结果的好奇心。]
Step II Pre- reading
Show picture 1.
Ask: What can you see in the picture? What subject does the picture belong to?
Help students combine two sentences into one sentence.:
The photo shows different colors on the hill. It belongs to subject Nature.→ The photo which shows different colors on the hill belongs to subject Nature.
Show other two pictures in the same way.
Help students describe the pictures like these:
Picture 2: Compared with the first picture, the photo which shows a dancing singer at a concert belongs to subject Music.
