Stage1. Pre-reading
Step1. Greet the students and enjoy a photo of our class.
Step2. Lead the students to brain-storm the subjects of photos by talking about the photos on the screen.
Teaching Purpose: review the subjects of the photos and lead the students to talk about the photos.
Stage2.While-reading
Step1. Fast-reading
Ask the students to read the passage quickly and divide it into three parts.
Read the passage again and match the main ideas with each part.
Call back answers from the students.
Purpose: lead the students to use the reading skills to get the information quickly.
Step3. Careful-reading:
1). Have the students read Para1 and Try to answer the questions on the screen.
Call back the answers on the screen.
2). Ask the students to read the last paragraph and fill in the blanks. Correct the answers together.
Purpose: Lead the students to find some key sentences and key words in the passages.
Step4.Detail-reading
1).Ask the students to read para2 carefully , find the details about the photos and the winners, then fill in the table on the book.
2).Correct the answers from several students.
Purpose: Ask the students to get more information about the photos and lead them to talk about the photos.
