方法与手段:根据教学目的,教材特点和新课标的要求,本课主要采用任务型教学方法,通过自主学习、合作学习的方式,借助课件提高课堂教学密度,加大信息量的输入。采用问答与小组合作的方法,以启发、诱导贯穿课堂教学始终。根据学科和学生特点以最大限度地激发学生动机,如:示范、鼓励、引导、帮助、监控、评价等,来调动学生学习的积极性,发挥学生自主摄取知识的能力。面向全体学生,注重素质教育的提高。根据学生年龄和个性禀赋差异,因材施教,确保学科尖子生,同时对后进生倾注爱心,不求人人成功,但求人人进步。

Teaching Procedures:

Step I: Warming-up.

1. Revise the words and phrases of unit 1.

2.Show the learning objects.(ask a student to read it).

设计理念:积极创设语言情境,充分发挥学生的主体地位。检查反馈预习情况,养成自主学习词汇的习惯,迅速进入学习状态。

Step II: Presentation.

(I) Firstly, Show students some questions on the picture, then look the photos and answer the questions.

Q: Which is more difficult?

1. speaking to your classmates or speaking to people from the UK or the US?

2. doing English exercises or reading English stories?

3. understanding written English or spoken English?

After that, play the tape for the students, then give them some minutes to read the question and answer the questions. Finally, check the right answers with the whole class.

(II).Listen to the radio and choose the correct answers.

1.How has Tony’s dad made progress in learning Chinese?

a) He has been to classes. b) He has practised it every day.

c) He did not do anything special.

2.According to Tony’s dad, what do you need to do to be good at a foreign language?

a) You need to be very bright. b) You need to work hard.

c) You need to go to classes

3.What does Tony’s dad think about Chinese?

a) It is easier than English. b) It is more difficult than English.

c) It is as easy as English.

(III).Listen and discuss this question.

1.T: What are they talking about in this conversation?

S: Students share their thought about learning English.

2. Listen again and decide who might agree with the following.

(IV). Read and explain.

1.Play the tape again, then give them some minutes to practice the dialogue in group. After that, ask some groups to act it out.
