4.According to the conception, the object clause can be divided into three kinds.

If/whether(是否)

What/why/which/when/where/how等

5.Ask students to do the following exercise at once.

1)We know that we should learn from each other.

2)Please tell me if/whether you have been to America.

3)---Could you please tell me where your bedrooms are?

Step3 Tell the students about the differences between “if”and “ whether”

Usually if和whether can be changed,but the four cases can only use whether:

1.before to do: Whether to go there or not hasn’t been decided.

2.before preposition: It depends on (依靠)whether it is going to rain.

3. with or not:They are talking about whether to go there or not.
