VII. Teaching procedures
Step 1 Lead in and greeting
1. Greet students and the guest teachers
2. lead in the class with the sentence: Life is sad at times, but it is up to you to make your own life happy. Talk about it briefly then get students to make similar sentences.
3.Show my other sentences to lead in the class--- Grammar is difficult at times, but it is up to you to make it easier.
(T)---How? By doing more exercise/By mastering some grammar rules.
Review lessons are boring at times, but it is up to Ms Zhou to make it interesting.
(S)---How? Just wait and see.
Step 2 Having a try
Show some exercises of entrances exam in different years of Anhui and ask students to finish them .
Do other exercises of other provinces, then get students to know how to get ready for the exam about different tenses.
Step 3 Presentation
Show a mind map , get students to write down the tenses that we have learnt in the past three years.
Create some situation to make use of different tenses one by one. Show a King’s picture that he is training and ask them to read King’s timetable and choose the correct answer to complete each sentence.
Get students to get the awareness to use what we have learnt in our life.
3 Revision list 1: Work in pairs to finish the table.
Revision list 2. Make another mind maps together about the simple present tense.
4. Show some pictures that students are training, teach the new words about their PE exam, then get them to put them into the structure of simple present tense.
5 . Revise the tense with different sentence pattern :assertive sentence, negative sentence, general question, special question, singular form in third personal.
---What does Liang Rui usually do after class?
---She usually studies at home.
---Does she play mobile phone games?
---No, she doesn’t.
