四.教学过程

Step1.Lead-in

T: play a song for mama

Ss: enjoy the song and find out what the music is about.

(设计意图:以学生感兴趣的歌曲导入,让学生欣赏英文歌曲并听出相关内容,开门见山,直接引入感恩主题。)

Step2. Presentation

T: How can you express your love? OK, here is a son. He loves his mother very much and he wrote a letter to his mother. Let’s enjoy the letter together.

Ss: Listen to the letter carefully.

T: What do you think of the letter? Is it a beautiful letter? It’s good. Why?

Ss: Think and discuss. Find how many tenses are in the letter. What are they?

(设计意图:声情并茂的朗读让学生更好地感知文章的内容,让学生自己来发现其中的时态并学习可以如何写好一封信,如何表达爱。)

Step3. Review three tenses carefully

T: help students to make a conclusion about how to use the three tenses properly.

Ss: make a conclusion about how to use the three tenses and make sentences as many as possible.

What does your mother often do for you?

what did your mother do for you yesterday?

Mother’s Day is coming, what will you do for your mother?

(设计意图:引导,提问,举例,让学生站起来说,并结合自己的亲身经历,勾起学生对母亲的回忆,自己的母亲为自己做了什么,在母亲节到来之际自己可以怎么表达对母亲的爱。学生自己的亲身经历也更容易进行对话。)

Step4.Challenge

T: A father’s love is also important. Here’s another letter to a father. Please read it quietly first, and what will you find?

Ss: Correct mistakes.

(设计意图:又是一封感恩信,对象是父亲,勾起学生对父亲的回忆,学会表达对父亲的爱。文中的错误只设置了四个,由易到难,兼顾好中差学生。)

Step5.Fill in the blanks.

T: I’m so honored to receive a letter from my student. But the letter is not so perfect. Let’s help her complete the letter.

Ss: Read and fill. Find some key words. Make a conclusion.

(设计意图:这是一封给老师的感恩信。还是深入到语篇中进行综合练习,并结合这些练习让学生自己可以总结出动词时态的选用对策。)

Step6. Finish the last part of the letter and report.

T: Here Amy wants to do something for her friend Mary. So she wrote a letter to Mary. Can you give her some good advice?

Ss: Write and report.

(设计意图:衔接以上时态的练习活动,层层递进,结合贴近实际生活的语境,感恩朋友的一封信,能够合理地使用时态,从逐步的操练达到灵活运用的目的,并培养学生写与说的能力。)
