Greet with students, and enjoy a video about the changes of our home town Liuzhou.
From the video, we can see the great changes of Liuzhou, I think life is better now. Lead out the title and topic.
Step 2: Pre-reading
Show the learning aims.
Show some pictures, and lead Students to speak out new words and sentences.
Step 3: Grammar
Sum up the rules of adjective and adverb comparative.
Do some exercise to check what we learned.
Step 4: While-reading
Task 1: Read the passage as quickly as you can, and then choose the best answer.
Task 2:
Read the passage following the tape, and then finish the mind map.
Work in group of six. Choose adjective to describe the situations shows on mind map. Then make sentences like this:
Families are smaller now.
Families were bigger in the past.
Task 3: Read the passage again, and finish Activity 3 on page 21. Then try to retell the story.
