Step1: Lead-in
Let students watch a video about reading and then discuss a question “ Why is reading so important?” :
For us, one of the most important reasons for it is that reading plays an important part in our test. Reading has got the most scores, right? So, we need to improve our reading skills. Today, let’s learn some skills of reading comprehension.
Step2: Learn about main and basic types of reading questions.
Make students know five basic types of reading questions:
Questions about details; questions about judgement; questions about conclusion; questions about guessing the meanings; questions about completing the sentences.
Step3: Learn about first two types of reading questions
Type1 Questions about details
Show two questions:
