Step2 Revision

Show some pictures to describe: miss, visit. Glue the word cards on the blackboard. Say the following sentences to help the students understand: My mother is in Beijing. I miss my mother. I am going to visit my mother.

Show another PPT, say: My mum lives in The Red House, I also have some friends, Mike and Lynn. Mike lives in The Brown House, Lynn lives in The White House. In this way, help them to understand “live”. Glue the word cards on the blackboard.

Show PPT, students choose the right words to fill in the blanks. Help the students to understand and read the words.

Lead in the story: Hello, I am a cat. I have a sister, her name is Kitty. She lives in the city. I miss her very much. I am going to visit her.

Play the audiotape, students listen to the story. Answer the following questions:

On the way(在路上), I meet________.

A a cat and a dog B a nice dog and an old bird

Students try to read the story by themselves, write T for true and F for false sentences.

There are many new streets in the city.

The nice dog tells(告诉) me the right way(正确的路)。

The old bird tells me to go straight and turn left.

My sister is happy to see me.

Students read the passage in groups, then discuss the right way to the Nice House, draw the way on the map.

Play the audiotape again, students read after it. Then read the passage aloud.

Act out the story.
