Step 1 Free-talk
What do you do on Sunday?
Students can talk with partners. Maybe they will say I go to the zoo, I read a book, I do my homework, I fly kites….
Ask for several volunteers to express.

Step 2 Presentation
Teacher says: Do you want to know what I do? Then tell them I go to the cinema. Show the picture of the cinema. Ask the students What is it? They can answer it in Chinese. Then help them say It is a cinema. Cinema Read it a few times. Teacher asks Why do you go to the cinema? Help them answer to see a film. Make a new sentence with this new word and this phrase. Let’s go to the cinema to see a film. Write it on the blackboard.
Teach the other words park, supermarket in the same way.

Step 3 Group work
Make up dialogues like this:
A: Where do you want to go?

Ask for some groups to act it out in front of the class.

Step 4 Listen and read
Play the audiotape. Have the students listen carefully.
Read the passage in groups. Maybe Students find some problems. Encourage them to solve the problems in their own group. They can ask teacher, too. Then translate the passage.
