Sentences: In ancient times, dragons are regarded as...

The ancient emperors compared themselves to dragons.

Everybody makes mistakes at times.

2. Difficult points:

能理解在不同的国家,同一动植物的含义是有差异的。在与英语本土人士交谈时,要注意这些差异,以免引起误会。

在遇到含有动植物的英语句子时,不能按照字面意思去理解。

在平常的学习中要多收集、整理与动植物相关的习语。

Ⅵ. Teaching Steps:

Step1. Revision

1. Use PPT or pictures to present all kinds of gestures one by one and let the Ss speak them out in English.

2.Teacher show some pictures and let students fill in the blanks.

Tell students : Body language means different meanings in different cultures. Lead to the new lesson .

Step 2.Presentation

I. Know about the leaning aims .Let Ss read the new words, phrases and sentences .

II. Tell Ss how to read a passage .They can use two methods ( fast reading and careful reading ).

1. Read 1a as fast as possible and finish 1b.

2 . Check answers.

3. Read Para2 carefully and guess the meaning of each phrase about dogs . Work in pairs.
