学情分析:
四年级的学生开始有了自己的思想,对任何事物都有很大的好奇心,但他们的思维能力和认知水平还处于待发展状态,自我控制力和学习主动性不是十分高,因此,课堂上就很难创设融洽和谐的学习氛围。但因为学生的好奇心强,探究欲望高,善于在老师的指导下进行合作,是学习本科的有利因素。教学时,我针对学生的这些情况,有效的落实教学方法。
教学过程:
Step 1 Free-talk
Teacher asks: How many months are there in a year? (Twelve). Read them together to review the months.
Teacher asks: What’s your favorite month?
Whose birthday is in May?
How do you feel in May? (Hot)
Step 2 Teach the new words
Show the PPT to teach the new words: hot cold cool warm. Students read follow the teacher for three times. Then review them.
Step 3 Let’s chant.
Teacher says: We will talk about the weather today. Show the PPT, Students read follow the teacher twice, then read together. Choose one student to read. Then teacher says: This lesson we will learn Lesson 10 Rain and Sun. Write “Lesson 10 Rain and Sun” on the blackboard.
Step 4 Learn the sentences in Part 1
Look at the PPT color picture. Teacher asks:“What’s it?”Students answer:“It’s the sun.”Check some students. Show the color picture “sun” and teach “sun”. Students read follow the teacher for three times, then check some students to spell “sun”. Teach “This is the sun. The sun is hot.”Students read follow the teacher twice. Then ask students to practice in groups three times. Ask students to read in groups. Teacher says: “You all read very well” to encourage them.
Show the color pictures: “cloud” “rain”. Teach “cloud and rain” like teaching “sun”. Ask students to read “Do you see the cloud and rain?” after the teacher four times. Then read together.
Show the “wind” picture. Teacher says: This is wind. Teach “wind”. Students read follow the teacher three times, then check some students to spell “wind”. Listen to PPT to learn the sound of wind and learn “Look at the wind”.
Show “snow” picture. Teach “snow” like teaching “sun”. Then look at the PPT to teach“This is snow. Snow is cold and white”. Students read follow the teacher twice. Then students practice in pairs five times. Ask the girls read together first and boys read together again. Ask students to read the two sentences in groups.
Listen to the record for three times.
Step5 Practice
Ask students to draw color pictures to describe the words: sun rain wind cloud snow and practice the sentences in Part 1.
First, play the game “What’s missing?” in pairs to review the words: sun rain wind cloud snow.
Then play the game : Missing words to spell the new words.
At last play the game: What’s it? in groups to practice the sentences in Part 1.
Choose someone to act out.
Step 6 Make dialogues: Group work
Teacher says: I like rain and snow. What about you? Choose someone to answer. Ask students to ask others one by one in a row to practice the dialogue. Then ask all of them to act out.
Step7 Let’s sing The Mouth Song.
Listen to the record twice to feel the melody. Sing the song follow the record three times. Try to sing together.
Step8 Conclusion
In this class, we learned five new words: sun, cloud, rain, wind, snow. Read the chant on the PPT to review the words and the sentences.
