Step1: Class Opening and Review

Review the festivals.

Play a game.

(设计意图:通过复习以前学习的节日引入英语课堂,不仅拉近了师生关系,复习了以前所学,还为下面的学习做好了充分的知识储备,提供了丰富的语言信息。)

Step 2: New Concepts

1.Lead in :watch video and say the festival.

T: Do you know what festival it is? Do you like the Spring Festival? T: What do you know about the Spring Festival?

S:?买新衣服、打扫房间、包饺子、走亲访友、收压岁钱、放鞭炮。

2.Watch and answer.

Jenny and Danny arrived in China, they will stay two days with LiMing’s family for the Spring Festival. They want to know about the Spring Festival. Today we are going to learn Lesson20 The Spring Festival Is Coming!Let’ go to LiMing’s home,watch and answer Questions:

When is the spring festival?

What do you they do for the Spring Festival?

(设计意图:课堂开始,让学生有目的有思维性的“看”,输入本课所学内容。)

2.New words and sentences.

Show the pictures and new sentences, then learn the new words :room, door, window, make,kid,floor,lucky,visit;And the phases:buy new clothes,clean our rooms,clean the doors/windows/floors,make dumplings,visit our family and friend,get lucky money

(设计意图:通过学生说出的有关春节的活动,随即出示本课重点句型和单词,并教授单词,短语,做到词不离句。)

3.Work in pairs.(Ask and answer).

(设计意图:通过学生的回答,着重练习本课重点句型,达到语言训练和输出的目的。)

6.利用课堂活动出示过年做的其他事情:set off firecrackers放鞭炮、paste spring couplets 贴春联、have a family dinner 家庭聚餐、 hang a lantern 挂灯笼等。

(设计意图:拓展介绍一些春节要做的其他事情,从课本走进生活,调动孩子们的学习兴趣。)
