●Talk about the passage in the book
Let the students read after me “square” together and in each line. Then let the students look the picture and read after me “Tian’anmen Square is very good.” In the same way to present “ There are many people here!”. Then let the students look at another picture and ask them what are they doing. Students answer “ they are taking pictures”. Then teacher write “take a picture” and “take pictures” on the blackboard, and let students read them and understand them. Then let students read after me “Some people are taking pictures on the square.”Then show another picture and let one student who volunteer read the sentence “ there are many children. They are playing.” Then show one picture and ask “what are they doing?” Students answer “they are flying kites”. Then teacher writes “fly a kite” and “fly kites” on the blackboard, and let students read them and understand them. Then show the pictures , read and understand “Let’s fly a kite! This is easy. Oh, no! This is difficult!” and guide the students to notice the pronunciation “say” and “says” and to understand “easy” and “difficult” .
