活动1【导入】

T: Hello, boys and girls. First,Let’s have a chant.(播放视频)

T: Ok, I’m going to Beijing. I know there are many famous places in Beijing, for example: Tian’anmen Square, the Palace Museum, Wangfujing Street…, the Great Wall. What do you know about the Great Wall? For example: How old is the Great Wall?

S: The Great Wall is 2000 years old.

T: How long is the Great Wall ?

S: The Great Wall is about 6000 kilometres.

(设计意图:由视频中的“去哪”引出北京的名胜古迹,复习本单元学过的旧知识。为进一步了解长城奠定基础。)

活动2【讲授】

T: Today we’ll learn a story. In the story, we’ll know more about the Great Wall. Mrs. Li, Danny, Jenny and Li Ming are going to the Great Wall. Can you guess how do they go there?

The students guess :They go there by car / taxi、bus.......(学生猜测各种地点)

(设计意图:故事伊始在与学生轻松愉悦的交流中,自然引入本课故事。猜测故事中人物怎样去长城,激发了学生的学习兴趣,发散思维,激活旧知,为接下来的故事学习做好了铺垫。)

1. T: Listen to the story and check your answers. How do they go to the Great Wall?

(设计意图:1.看故事视频整体感知故事内容;2.在学生迫切想知道答案的情况下,教师揭晓答案,符合学生年龄特点,学习兴趣更加浓厚。借助图片,激发学生学习兴趣。)

2. T: Now Mrs. Li, Danny, Jenny and Li Ming are walking on the Great Wall . Danny says “Wow, it is so long!” Now, listen to Picture2 and answer: What do we call the Great Wall in China? (教师根据Danny的感叹进行提问,学生们通过听录音回答问题。)

(设计意图:此环节让同学们体会故事中主人公语气及心情,模仿朗读,培养语感。)

3. T:So we know the Great Wall is very long and we know the Great Wall is old. Can you tell me how old is the oldest part of the Great Wall? What is the Chinese saying about the Great Wall? Let’s read Picture3 and Picture4 in group, then answer the questions.

(设计意图: 此环节通过小组探讨,让学生寻找答案,提炼故事信息,调动学生读和说的能力。)

4. T: Danny knows the Chinese saying “He who does not go to the Great Wall is not a true man.” Now he is walking on the Great Wall, read Picture5 in group and answer the question: what does he want to do? How can we keep the Great Wall clean and beautiful?

(设计意图:此环节让同学们了解到我们不仅要保护长城,而且去其他的地方旅游时也要注意自己的行为。)

5. How do you do when you go on a trip? Show some sentences and let the student say true or false.(教师出示一些旅游时出现的行为让学生判断正误。)

(设计意图:学生通过思考回答问题,教师引导学生理解故事的内涵得到了情感的升华。学生能够明白保护环境人人有责。)

6.T: Now, let’s listen and answer: How does Jenny feel to see the Great Wall?

(设计意图:此环节让同学们了解到长城的伟大,我们要更加保护我们的长城。)

7. Read follow the tape for each picture.

(设计意图:在回答完每个图片的问题后都跟读模仿,提高学生用不同的语音语调表达不同情感的意识和能力,体会不同角色声音及感情。)
