Step 3 Pre-reading

T:What gifts did Liming and Jenny buy for their family?

S:Liming bought a T-shirt for his dad.

S:Jenny bought a scarf for her mum.

出示李明和珍妮给家人送礼物的图片,学生们看图片说句子。

设计意图:通过对图片进行描述,学生根据图片信息用原来积累的一般过去式的知识练习bought for,有意识培养学生综合运用语言的能力,也为下一环节做好铺垫)

Step 4 While -reading

1. Look and answer

T:Jenny and Danny are back to school with many gifts from China.板书课文题目,并领读。P lease turn to page sixty-two and look at the pictures carefully.Then answer me these questions:How many people are there? Who are they? How many gifts? What are they?在学生回答过程中,将头像和礼物图片贴到黑板一侧,课文中的人物和礼物都直观的呈现在学生面前。与此同时引导同学们对所选小礼物进行讨论:具有中国特色的小礼物,深受外国人喜爱,而且给朋友选礼物要用心。

(设计意图:让学生带着问题快速浏览图片,有助于培养其快速捕捉信息能力,增强其阅读的兴趣。并适时对孩子进行情感教育)

Listen and answer

T:Listen to the tape and answer the question :Who did Jenny and Danny buy gifts for ?(PPT展示问题,教师提醒学生们注意连读,语音,语调)

S1:Jenny bought a (kite) for (Seven)

S2:Jenny bought a (picture) for (Mr.Wood)

S3 :Danny bought a (cap) for (Kim)

S4: Danny bought a (T-shirt) for (Mr.Wood))

教师示范将珍妮购买礼物贴于黑板并领读句子,然后让学生将其他人和礼物贴于黑板,每个学生手指图片说出句子,最后师生齐读。

(设计意图:培养学生听的能力,感知原音,听懂的基础上,把握全篇内容。然后说练结合,在实际运用中发展语言能力)

3.Read and answer

T:Now read the dialogue in silence and find the answer to the question:What do Danny and Jenny say when they give the gifts? PPT显示问题内容和答案。学生们找出送礼物的句子后,PPT显示对话框,师生共读句子。并引导学生结合语境猜测短语 put it on,try it on 。在此环节渗透中西方文化:了解在送礼物和收到礼物时中西方存在的文化差异。

4.Role play

T: Please read the dialogue loudly and then act it out.

将学生们分组,小组内选择角色,然后讲台前展示。提醒同学们感受人物情感变化,注意连读部分。

(设计意图:培养学生小组合作意识和阅读习惯,感受学以致用乐趣。)
