(设计意图:师生亲切谈论天气,自然引出节日。)
First, talk about holidays. Next, talk about Chinese.
T: What holiday is it?
S1: The Dragon Boat Festival.
T: What do you do on the Dragon Boat Festival?
S2: We have dragon boat races and we eat zongzi. 教师引导学生一起谈论学过的许多中国节日。
(设计意图:通过中西方节日对比复习以往学过的中国节日,为引出本课所讲西方节日——圣诞节做好铺垫,并且充分调动了学生学习英语的积极性。)
Step2 New Concepts
1. Talk about Western holidays.
T: In Western, there are also many holidays.
Look! What are they?西方节日的渗透,引出圣诞节单词和课题,教师板书.
(设计意图:通过了解西方节日,感受大环境下中西节日对比,渗透中西方文化差异,引出本节课的主题Christmas is coming.教师板书课题,引导学生自己说出首字母需大写,字母“t”没有发音等注意事项。)
2. Christmas.
