Step1： Warming-up
1．Review the text lesson 19，ask Ss to read the text together.
2. Free talk:
T：Christmas is coming.I want to ask you some questions:
What do you know about the Chriatmas?
Do you like Christmas? Why?
(Ss answer the questions and lead-in the new class )
Step 2: Presentation
1. Write down the item “Christmas Gifts” on the blackboard,
and read twice.
2. Show the Learning goals to Ss.
3. Teach new word:special(特殊的),give (给)
T：We know Christmas is coming ,and it is special，do you know “special”,(师领读，学生跟读，指名读，小组读)；use the same method to teach new word“give”
4. Let’s learn part 1 by yourselves!
① First，listen to the tape twice and understand its meaning.（听录音2遍，理解课文大意）
Second，Ss try to read part 1 and finish the exercise.
