Step1: Warming-up

1.Review the text lesson 19,ask Ss to read the text together.

2. Free talk:

T:Christmas is coming.I want to ask you some questions:

What do you know about the Chriatmas?

Do you like Christmas? Why?

(Ss answer the questions and lead-in the new class )

Step 2: Presentation

1. Write down the item “Christmas Gifts” on the blackboard,

and read twice.

2. Show the Learning goals to Ss.

3. Teach new word:special(特殊的),give (给)

T:We know Christmas is coming ,and it is special,do you know “special”,(师领读,学生跟读,指名读,小组读);use the same method to teach new word“give”

4. Let’s learn part 1 by yourselves!

① First,listen to the tape twice and understand its meaning.(听录音2遍,理解课文大意)

Second,Ss try to read part 1 and finish the exercise.

(自己试读课文第1部分,并完成let’s do it 的1,2,3小题)

Read part 1 in roles — Danny ,Jenny and LiMing

Answer some questions(let’s do it 的1,2,3小题)

5. Practise and Play(教师先示范,然后学生两人一组对话练习)

A: Hello!Christmas is coming.

Are you going to give your family a gift?

B: Yes. I’m going to give _____a gift.

(预设:3-4组上台展示)

6.Learn part 2 ( I can say )

①创设情境,教师拿出圣诞帽扮演圣诞老人与学生示范对话,引出句型:A: What would you like for Christmas?
