Let the students look at the pictures and say where they are, (让学生尽可能地和同伴说出名胜,激活他们的英语思维,培养他们的爱国之情。)

T:Boys and girls, you are great! You really know a lot. China is a place worth visiting and pleasing to live in. So millions of people from all over the world want to visit, work or live in our country every year. Today we’ll introduce the beautiful scenery of our country to an American girl who lives in China.

Step 2. New lesson

Listen to 1a and finish 1b. (Let the students listen to the conversation twice), then check the answers.

New words and phrases.

Let the students find out the new words and the phrases in 1a, and ask a student to read them aloud, then let the other students to read them after him/her.

Let the students read the conversation after the tape, and pay attention the Pronunciation and Intonation?

Let them read it aloud, then read it by themselves, and ask several students to?act?the?dialogue,??the?other?students?listen?carefully and give the comments to their acting. At last, all the students read it aloud.

Ask them to say the key words and phrases in 1a and say the usage of them.

The beautiful garden attracts lots of tourists every year.

(2). Ask a student to say the differences between “ a number of ” and “the number of ”

(3). in detail

(4). Ask a student to say the differences among “ fetch, take, bring, and carry”.

(5). Let a student say the usage of “introduce”.
