T: Nice to see you again.

Ss: Nice to see you, too.

T: Could you tell me what you usually do in your spare time?

S1: I like watching TV.

T: I can guess most of the students in your class like playing basketball because I often see you guys play it on the playground. Am I right?

Ss: Yes.

T:That’s really a good hobby. It is good for our body. But for myself, I like watching TV. And two days ago, I finished watching the popular TV plays《泡沫之夏》 Now, let’s begin our new lesson to learn more kinds of TV programs.

利用图片学习生词、重点句型及动名词的运用，导入2a。

T: So from this picture, we can see there are so many programs. But which one do you like better, TV plays or quiz shows?

S2: I like watching TV plays better than quiz shows.

T: I see. S2 says he/she would rather watch TV plays than quiz shows. What about you, S3?

S3: I like CCTV news better. But I don’t like sports shows.

T: S3 says he/she prefers watching CCTV news. But he/she would rather not watch sports shows. How about you, S4？

S4: I would rather not watch TV. I like surfing the Internet.

T: S4 says he/she would rather surf the Internet than watch TV.

(1)T: We’ve talked much about TV programs and our preference. Now, let’s look at the picture in 1a. Don’t look at the conversation. Let’s just guess what the children are talking about.（引导同学们在听之前根据所提供的图片大胆猜测，请个别同学谈谈自己所猜的内容。）

Now you are required to listen to the tape and finish 1b. Pay attention, when you are listening, you must use your left hand to cover 1a.

Step 3 Drill 操练 (时间:8分钟)

以表演形式巩固1a。学习1b并巩固句型would rather do sth. than do sth.。

All the students read the conversation in 1a together. And the teacher needs to correct the pronunciation mistakes that the students probably make.

Try to repeat 1a based on the given information on the PPT.

T: Now let’s act it out in roles.(表演对话。)

T: Good. The next group can make some changes according to your own ideas.
